About Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall

Located within Hibiya Park in Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward, Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall (affectionately known as ‘Yaon’) is Japan’s oldest outdoor music venue, with the original built during the Taisho era. Due to its location surrounded by corporate offices, concerts are limited to weekends and holidays to minimize noise disruption.

The venue has a total capacity of 3,053 seats including standing areas and wheelchair-accessible seating. The outdoor setting creates an intimate atmosphere despite the substantial capacity.
Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall / Nearest Station
JR Yurakucho Station (5 minutes), Hibiya Station (Tokyo Metro Hibiya/Chiyoda lines, 3 minutes), Yurakucho Station (Tokyo Metro Yurakucho line, 3 minutes), JR Shimbashi Station (7 minutes), Uchisaiwaicho Station (Toei Mita line, 5 minutes), and Kasumigaseki Station (Tokyo Metro Marunouchi line, 4 minutes). Note: JR users should prefer Shimbashi over Yurakucho for easier access.
Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall / Coin Lockers
Coin lockers are available at all nearby stations. JR Yurakucho Station has lockers near the Hibiya Exit on B1F. Hibiya Station (subway) has multiple locker areas near exits A10-A14. Shimbashi Station offers the most locker options with locations on 1F near the JR ticket gates and in the underground passages. Typical prices range from ¥300 (small) to ¥700 (large). Due to the outdoor venue’s popularity, lockers fill up quickly on event days, so arrive early or consider using hotel storage if staying nearby.
From JR Yurakucho Station (JR Yamanote Line, JR Keihin-Tohoku Line)
Exit through the Hibiya Exit ticket gates at JR Yurakucho Station.

Turn left after exiting and walk along the train tracks for a while.

When you see the Imperial Hotel Tower on your right front, turn right without crossing the crosswalk.

Pass Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre and Nissei Theatre on your right, then cross the crosswalk. You’ll see the entrance to Hibiya Park ahead.

Enter Hibiya Park through the entrance and turn left to walk through the park.

Continue walking left through the park until you see Hibiya Public Hall. Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall is to the right of the Public Hall, so follow the arrow direction.

Follow the tree-lined path and you’ll see the main gate of Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall appearing ahead.

From Hibiya Station (Hibiya Line, Chiyoda Line) and Yurakucho Station (Yurakucho Line)
Since Hibiya Station and Yurakucho Station are connected by underground passages, head to Exit A13 near Chiyoda Line Hibiya Station.

Exit A13 and cross the crosswalk. You’ll see the entrance to Hibiya Park ahead.

Enter Hibiya Park through the entrance and turn left to walk through the park.

Continue walking left through the park until you see Hibiya Public Hall. Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall is to the right of the Public Hall, so follow the arrow direction.

Follow the tree-lined path and you’ll see the main gate of Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall appearing ahead.

From JR Shimbashi Station (JR Lines, Toei Asakusa Line, Yurikamome)
Meet at the famous SL Plaza, the standard meeting point at Shimbashi Station.

From SL Plaza, head right and when you reach the intersection with McDonald’s on the corner, follow the arrow direction.

Turn right when you see Nishi-Shimbashi Square (the white building) near Uchisaiwaicho Station. You’re almost at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall.

Pass Hibiya Park on your left, then you’ll see Hibiya Public Hall and a police box across the intersection. Cross the crosswalk and turn left.

Walk a bit and you’ll find the entrance to Hibiya Park. Enter and head right to reach Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall.

From Uchisaiwaicho Station (Toei Mita Line)
Exit from A6 at Uchisaiwaicho Station.

Pass Hibiya Park on your left, then you’ll see Hibiya Public Hall and a police box across the intersection. Cross the crosswalk and turn left.

Walk a bit and you’ll find the entrance to Hibiya Park. Enter and head right to reach Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall.

From Kasumigaseki Station (Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line)
Exit B2 at Kasumigaseki Station for the shortest route. After reaching street level, follow the arrow direction and enter Hibiya Park.

Since Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall is in the back right area, turn right immediately after entering Hibiya Park. You’re almost there!

Bring cash for coin lockers as some don’t accept IC cards. The venue is outdoors so check weather conditions and dress appropriately. Arrive early as this popular venue fills up quickly. The nearest convenience stores are around Yurakucho and Shimbashi stations for snacks and drinks before the show.
